Carl Warner - Foodscapes

He is a photographer from Kent. What makes him outstanding is that he's  not only a landscape photographer, but a life photographer as well.

One day while Carl walking around a food market, he found some wonderful mushroom which thought looked like some kind of tree from alien world. So he took them back to his studio with a few other ingredients with a view to try and create a miniature scene on a table top.

The MUSHROOM became Carl's first "foodscape" and over next ten years he continued to develop lots of work making landscape out of food.

How The Work Created

The "foods capes" are created in Carl's London studio where they are built on top of a large purpose built triangular table top. The sense are photographed in layers from foreground to background and sky as the process is very time consuming and so the food are quickly wilts under the lights. Each elements is then put together in post production to achieve final image.
